This was hands down my favorite restaurant during my two-week stay in Kanazawa! I went two days in a row—and if it hadn’t been my last two days in the city, I would’ve gladly come back every night. 😋 The grilled fish is exceptional— fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of natural flavor without heavy seasoning. The tempura is also delicious, actually everything I tried was outstanding. The owner couple who run the restaurant are so kind. They took the time to explain the menu to me using a translator and shared tips on how to best enjoy certain dishes. We chatted about my trip and other things, and their warm hospitality left a lasting impression on me. I also feel genuinely appreciated as a guest who really loves their food.

Wauw! After a day of travelling and a little sightseeing we stumbled on this small establishment. Not knowing what to expect we were greeted so cheerful and pleasant by the owners. Not speaking English but using a little translator he and his wife were so kind and funny for us the whole evening :) We asked the chef/owner to choose our menu and we couldn't have made a better choice. Everything was so delicious and the chef made sure to give us a little taste of different kinds of foods. Fish, vegetables and meat. Real craftsmanship and hospitality all over. We are very happy we stumbled across this little street and filled are bellies with amazing food.

Couldn’t have found a better place for my last meal in kanazawa. Even though i could not speak much Japanese the owners were so incredibly (まんで) nice!! The sashimi was some of the best ive ever had, expect nothing less from kanazawa, and the grilled fish was incredibly tasty!! A skilfully folded omelette brought everything together providing flavour and a show. But even more than the food i loved the people. I ended up eating slower just so i could chat more! If you come to Kanazawa and want to test your Japanese while enjoying a fantastic meal, come here おねがいします！

Really fantastic place for dinner in Kanazawa. With such a high rating and no phone to confirm, we arrived right after the opening time to ensure we could get a seat. Turns out it was just the two of us for a while in the 15 seat restaurant. The chef and his assistant couldn't be nicer. Food was superb. No English menu, but the chef asked what we liked with the help of an electronic translator device. The assistant knew some more English. Overall an outstanding meal with tempura, sashimi, and high quality steak cooked to perfection. Only regret is that we didn't see the crab until after we were too full to eat any more. ...
