Excellent cafe on the way to Higashi Chaya district discovered accidentally. Kaga bocha (a type of Houjicha) is unique to Kanazawa, made by roasting twig tea and has a unique, aromatic scent. The Kaga bocha parfait paired with Kaga bocha and brown rice tea was a perfect combination and introduction to the region’s flavour. It was a rainy afternoon and I saw cafe that promised coffee, tea, sweets and menu in English. Menu indeed was well translated and offered short description of taste and content. So I went for hot black tea and signature parfait from local sweets. It was good portion and interesting experience. Sipping black tea, I watched rain go down the street and felt relaxed after long day of walking....

Staff was very friendly and place was clean! She provided me with a menu with English and photos. We ordered the matcha pistachio parfait, and two drinks.
