I mean if you really don't want foreigners it's fine just don't do whatever it is you're doing.

Highlights of the evening include barman yelling at the reception lady (who's considerably older than him) to sit us at the left instead of near him as she suggested.

Continued by us ordering two drinks and getting two that were sub par. We were never asked about whether we liked them and even when we said something about one of them, it was silently and completely ignored.

We kept sitting there just amused by the whole situation and they continued to ignore us.

Finally we decided to leave and were served with yet another surprise apparently all prices do not include tax.

So we just left enough on the table, only to be chased by the bartender and be pinned to a wall asking us to take the change. The whole situation felt unsafe and disturbing.

Hard to truly rate this place.

Went here as a group of 4 (one a Japan native, two with serviceable Japanese). The vibe was immediately comfy but slick. When asked about the cover charge we already knew from previous reviews and agreed. Got a nice cozy spot in the corner of the bar and when it came to ordering drinks, there was a lot of confusion with the bartender. It cast a lot of doubt on whether the drinks would be made right. In the meantime we ordered some curry and the set with bar snacks.

The curry was THE BEST curry I've had in Japan. Spicy with tendon and the perfect amount of homemade. The chef (cute older lady) was adorable in her presentation of the set, which was also delicious.

Bartender unable to create a simple old fashioned. Kept asking if neat, straight or in a high ball (old fashioned??) Very toursity trap feeling all around the place. No menu, no fixed price - be very careful. Cover charge 1000 yen / person. When I decided to to bail because I felt uncomfy, I was asked to pay the cover charge (even tho I spent 2 minutes there, got no service or haven't ordered anything).
