Hachiro Sushi — Restaurant in Kanazawa

We got to town with an appetite and little knowledge of Kanazawa restaurants. We tried one spot, but it was closed, we located another sushi restaurant, but it was full. We found Hachiro on the river with space for me and my son and it felt like exactly the place for us. The owners and their son treated us to the most sublime sushi dinner I've ever had. Being from northern California, I thought I had a handle on good sushi, but I had no idea. We were asked our preferences and wether there was anything we didn't want. We turned over control to our chef and feasted. I'm now ruined for sushi anywhere but Kanazawa.
