Can’t believe some of the comments about this restaurant from foreigners who seem to have made it to Kanazawa with seemingly no experience of Japanese culture. First and foremost I was made most welcome. One of the chefs was outside and then proceeded to bring out an English menu. The chefs smile at you. The locals do so also, and it’s an incredibly nice relaxed friendly atmosphere for down to earth Japanese food. The food is great - order some, eat it, order some more …….. just make sure no double dipping. Lots of choice also so many vegetarian options which I tried many of and taste amazing. I would come back and eat here in a heartbeat. Great authentic place. If tourists want tourist places to eat, there are of course much...

We had an amazing time here. We planned to go to some other place but when walking past decided to Google translate the menu. Since my wife is a vegetarian we struggle to find an Izakaya where we both can eat but this place has a lot of vegetarian options.

We were greeted by the staff and ordered some drinks after which the feast began. Some highlights were: the meatball skewer, Japanese leak, asparagus, tofu with kimchi and last but not least the cabbage leafs which you can dip in the...

Four of us with alchohol came to 15,000yen. Some staff and the chef really weren't friendly, which would be a big negative for Izakaya style eatery like this one. As for food, you'd enjoy variety of fried skewers, each of which is quite inexpensive but might add if you order in volume. Ensure you strictly follow "Single-dip" on the shared dipping sauce on the table. They had rock-paper-schissors campaign - when you win you get the lemon flavoured alchohol free. No credit...
