I'm an English-speaking local guide living in Kanazawa. The restaurant is literally a hidden gem. It's located near the Omicho Market on the map, but it's almost impossible to spot it during the walk in the area, as it looks like an ordinary house. They serve a wide variety of local fish dishes and tastes great. Also it's quite reasonable cost-wise compared with the ambience and the quality.
It was on 2nd July when I went to the restaurant, and that's the reason for the Shinto purification ritual held at shrines nationwide called the Chinowa Kuguri, or literally walking through the large grass circle. That's why you see the grassmade circle in front of the entrance. It's not something installed permanently.
