I am absolutely appalled by the disgraceful behavior I encountered at this establishment, which stems from both the abhorrent attitude of the server and blatant discrimination against foreigners. My recent visit here was nothing short of a nightmare.

From the moment I walked in, it was evident that the server harbored a deep-seated animosity towards me and my companions simply because we were foreigners. The sneers and condescending remarks were infuriating, to say the least. It is utterly unacceptable for a place that claims to offer hospitality to treat guests in such a degrading manner.

Not only did the server display a shocking level of bigotry, but their overall demeanor was also atrocious. They seemed inconvenienced by our very presence, and their rudeness knew no bounds. It's as if they had forgotten the basic principles of customer service.

Discrimination, in any form, has no place in our society, and it's especially disgraceful to encounter it in a supposedly professional setting like a restaurant. I implore the management to take immediate action against such appalling behavior within their staff and to implement diversity training to ensure that no guest, regardless of their background, ever experiences such humiliation again.

I refuse to return to this establishment, and I will make it my mission to inform others about the abhorrent treatment we received here. It's high time that this restaurant learns that bigotry and hostility are not acceptable, and I sincerely hope they take this criticism to heart and make the necessary changes."

Please keep in mind that while this criticism strongly condemns the poor attitude of the server and discrimination against foreigners, it's essential to maintain a respectful tone and avoid...

Loved this place. Made a reservation on Tabelog and was seated immediately even though we arrived 30 minutes early. Those who gave poor reviews, please understand that this is Japan. People here are not required to speak English to you. Yes the owner doesn't speak English, but he is a local restauranteur. He tried his best to show English speakers how to cook the wagyu and to make sure that they were having a good time. Yes I speak Japanese, but even without it, you can feel that he cares. In Japan it is important that you are prompt or early. You should not expect to be seated if you are late. It is part of the policy that you agreed to when making a reservation. Yes unfortunate events can happen on your way to the restaurant but it is unfortunately not the restaurant's responsibility but ours as customers to be there on time.

The owner was very kind and checked in on us when he could. He told us that the beef we were having was a champion of the local Noto beef breed so he was actually losing money this December. The meat literally melted in our mouth. Every piece was so good. After paying, the owner asked me to choose from a bunch of different flavored of gummies as a treat. When he learned that we were there on our honeymoon, he gave us a bottle of local red wine, and right before we got out the door, he gave us a bottle of local sake. Too too kind and generous. It was a thoroughly delicious meal and a warm experience....

Go here for an amazing dinner!! Ignore the bad reviews from the grumpier foreigners. The man running the restaurant is incredibly kind and generous. We don’t speak Japanese other than the mere basics but were able to communicate with the owner. It’s worth getting reservations online before coming because it is a small place.

The set course is delicious starting with kimchi, salad, soup and then an appetizer of sirloin and the main the thin cut sirloin with plenty of vegetables to grill as well. While we hadn’t don’t Yakinuku before we figured it out easily and the owner stopped by here and there to show us when he had a moment. You mostly order drinks or extras from an iPad and everything gets delivered by a little robot which was really fun!

When we told the owner we were on our honeymoon he brought us some melon and at the end of the night gave us some gummies and a bottle of sake to take home as a gift.

Don’t pay attention to the negative reviews — the server really seems like he might be the owner. I went with my boyfriend, and we don’t speak Japanese; we only know how to say hello, please, and thank you. That’s more than enough to show politeness and kindness, and with that, you can have a wonderful experience. As for the food — it was incredible. When we arrived, our table was already set with salad and kimchi. The server kept bringing things over and explained as best as he could, but part of the charm is also discovering things on your own, since it’s yakiniku and you cook your own food. He even gave us the experience of freshly grating the wasabi ourselves, which made everything feel even more special. At the end of dinner, he gave us some gummies and green tea to take back to our hotel. The whole experience felt like being inside a storybook. We truly want to thank the man who served us for his thoughtfulness, dedication, and effort.

This place is amazing and if you’re in Kanazawa and love meat, you absolutely have to come here! It’s a little shop run by one guy who’s clearly passionate about good meat and serving up a great experience. There’s a self service robot that helps serve and clean up, and there are English explanations and menus if you don’t speak Japanese. The owner is super welcoming and if you do speak Japanese, and it’s not too busy, he’ll come chat. The meat is amazing and the set courses are generous and well worth the money!
