Glin Coffee Roastery — Restaurant in Kawagoe

The café is located on the first floor of the U-Place building, about a 5-minute walk from Kawagoe Station. The interior is spacious with plenty of seating available for all customers. I visited during lunchtime, and while the place was fairly busy, I was still able to find a seat with a charging outlet, and the Wi-Fi worked smoothly despite the crowd (though most people seemed to be chatting rather than using it). The staff was friendly and polite, and you can pay with either cash or card. They also bring your order directly to your table, which I found impressive in terms of customer service.

However, I was less impressed with the food and drink. The cappuccino tasted unusually sour, which made me suspect that the brewing process might have been off. On the other hand, the donut was better than expected, slightly tastier than those from typical chains. Since I visited during lunch, the store had a bit of a cafeteria-like smell, but I was impressed with how quickly they cleaned up afterward. A nice roastery cafe to chill and have lunch. There are many seats and there is USB power supply. The food selection is yum! Especially the roast beef rice. If you get the lunch set it comes with drink, soup and salad. They also serve Japanese teas and desserts. You can also buy coffee beans here too. You can pay with the usual selection of cash...

川越で電源カフェでいいとこないかなーと探してきました。商店街に繋がる賑わっている側とは反対側で、公共施設が集まっているビルの一階にあります。Wi-Fiもあります。

電源、、ということできたのですが、カウンター席のコンセントの設置がけっこうタイトでなんとかギリギリ使えたという感じ。USBの口もあります。

店内、天井も高く全面採光で気持ちよい空間です。元町店というのがあるのでてっきり横浜？と思ったら、川越なんですね。川越ネイティブらしく市内に5店舗あるようです。

自家製ドーナッツのバリエーションがたくさんあって目にも楽しいです。

20240517 東武東上線に乗ってしまうと、一番行きたいカフェがここになっちゃいました。

コーヒー美味しい、空間広々、ちょっとしたオリジナルの甘いもの、充電もできてWi-Fiもありとは、なんとステキな場所でしょう。

都内でお茶しようかなと思っても、いいカフェが見つけられなかったら戻ってきてここで一服するが吉。

20240822 いつものコワーキングが使えないのでつらつら探すもこちらへ。天井が高く空間広々でいろんな席があるのと、椅子がいいのです。そして長居しやすい。

施設全体に座れる椅子やテーブルがちょこちょこあり、気分転換もしやすいし空気良い。

ここのコーヒーでつくるカフェオレは軽くて風味が良くて好きです。

20241121 一カ月300円で一回100円引きになるデジタルチケットがあって利用していたんですが、あれなんか有効期限が切れない？！と思ったら自動更新のサブスクでした😭　よく通われる方ならお得だと思いますが。

最近体調を崩して珈琲モードにならなくて、ほうじ茶がある！と思って頼んでみたもののあまり香りが良くなくて茶葉を出すタイミングも指定もないしけっこう残念。品川の丸八製茶さんのほうじ茶はコーヒーに勝るとも劣らない魅力があるだけに、、せいぜい番茶かなあという感じでした。
