mango tree cafe Kawasaki — Restaurant in Kawasaki

This branch of the "Mango Tree" chain of restaurants is located at "Lazona Kawasaki". The menu mainly features Thai food, served to Japanese tastes (not too spicy) with a small assortment of side dishes. Dine here at lunch and you will find a variety of "Set menu" options, combining some of the more popular dishes. I had the green curry with rice, which was OK, and the Thai style french fries (?). I was less impressed with the soup and side dishes. Prices were normal for a restaurant in a big shopping centre, with a set being around 1,500 yen on average. On busy days (national holidays, weekends etc.) consider getting to any of the restaurants at Lazona for an early lunch (11.00~11.30 or so) as they all fill up...

It’s not that prices are necessarily increasing in Japan, but portions shrink and ingredients are missing. Here we have a rice noodle with shrimp. Though the title is singular I would have hoped for more than two shrimps (yes there are microscopic shrimps for taste) and half a piece of tofu.

While I do like this chain and service is fine, the food is inconsistent and clearly has changed after inflation hit.

Environment in this location has lots of echo which can be a challenge with the music, conversations and lunch babies crying. A bit more soft materials would help.

Yum Thailand restaurant!! I love This restaurant!! The restaurant is same as other restaurant! Good service good menus!! Especially I love Tom yum kun soup!! Sour, sweet and a little bit hot so yum!! Other than basic plates there are some small plates for eating before main plates. It is nice to order some plates instead of ordering one main plate. You can enjoy some tastes! The drinks is nice!
