If you're looking for the best Indian cuisine in Kawasaki, Taj Indian Restaurant is the place to be. The moment you step in, you're greeted with a warm and cozy ambiance, reminiscent of the vibrant culture of India. The menu offers an extensive selection of authentic dishes, from classic curries to tandoori specialties, all bursting with rich and flavorful spices.

The chole bhature set and vegetable set are absolute must-tries, perfectly paired with their freshly baked naan and bhature. The level of spice can be adjusted, catering to both those who enjoy mild flavors and those who seek a fiery kick. Vegetarian options are plentiful, ensuring there's something for everyone.

The service is attentive and welcoming, adding to the overall experience. Whether you're dining solo, with family, or in a group, Taj offers a memorable dining experience. Portions are generous, and the prices are quite reasonable considering the quality and authenticity of the food.

Overall, Taj Indian Restaurant in Kawasaki stands out as one of the top places to indulge in Indian cuisine, making it a must-visit spot for...

South Indian food restaurants tend to be a little rarer in Japan, with the most common north Indian and Nepalese. But variety is the spice of life, and Taj really filled that gap for me as they filled my belly.

(Keep in mind that I'm talking about the dinner menu here. I have not been during lunch service.)

I normally avoid rice, but I couldn't pass up the chance to eat actual long grain rice. A solid choice. Their curry wasn't mind blowing, but they have a wide selection of Indian flat breads, beyond the normal giant naan, and, most importantly, the first palatable dosa I've eaten since my last trip to India in 2009 (more than palatable, is make a return visit for the dosa alone).

The only sour note to be had was the lack of kulfi: on the menu, but none prepared. I've been looking forward to trying the dish frequently referred to as "Traditional Indian ice cream".

I'll be coming back...

Authentic Indian Cuisine, Exceptional Service! I have recently dined at an Indian restaurant in Japan, and the experience was just great. The food was very tasty and authentic, really reminding me of home. Each dish was prepared well, and the taste was excellent.

The whole experience was even better due to the service. The staff, especially the owner, were very friendly, polite, and attentive. Their warm and welcoming behavior made us feel right at home.

This is a must-visit if you're craving authentic Indian food with great hospitality. I cannot wait to go back and try more dishes from their menu. Highly...

This is our first Indian restaurant after moving to Kawasaki and we are glad that we choose this. Owner Anil Sharma ji and the chief chef was so friendly and helps to choose better combo's. Coming to the food : Starter we had gobhi Manchurian it costed 680 change and this exactly tasted how we get in India. We often see tandoor gobhi in Japan but very rare to get this kind of Indo Chinese food . Must try For main course we had chole nature Thali and Alu kulcha which is worth the price and quantity. All over the place is nice, food is delicious and service , hospitality is awesome. Just go for it - Alekhya Sharma

This resturant has the regular Indian shop items and it has some special items. One of the few resturants where you can get soft chapati. All items are reasonably priced and service is friendly. Must try Dosa , Vada , Samosa / Papdi chat and Biryani. The reason for 5 stars is the Indian Ice cream desert KULFI . I have not found any resturant serving Kulfi and the taste is heavenly. The Kulfi served is slightly different varient than the one I have tasted in India but this is also exceptional. Do not miss tasting the Kulfi you will be deligted.
