Somewhat smaller range (4-5 types) of craft beers brewed in-house; all were good, if more on the sweet side. (¥480 per glass; ¥620 for mug.) Recommended: the “fugu and chips” (¥800), a fusion between local speciality and British tradition (go lovely with the Weizen); the 4 sausage sampler (¥900); and, a personal favorite, the perfectly crisp and cheesy margarita pizza (¥1200), made with what tasted like freshly made tomato sauce, and which married splendidly with their Pale Ale. Read moreI was a little bit hyped about the beer and the various choices, but they unfortunately had only 4 kinds: Sakura, Pilsner, Weizen, Pale Ale. While prominently displaying 10 or so at the table, you just can't order them. Dissapointing.
Apart from that: No English menu, which is not that big of an issue. But The Restaurant also needs a bit of love and renovation. You just don't feel like you want to spend your evening there.
Food: The Pizza was surprisingly good for Japan (a hint: you put the Basil after you get the pizza out of the oven, not before. Otherwise you just get burned Basil). But with 1700 yen on the pricy side. 1700 yen get's you almost 2...
Read moreChaotic and unorganized. When we arrived there was a waiting list - as usual in popular restaurants in Japan. Some people paid and left but the queue didn't move. More people left and the queue still didn't move. We waited fot 15min, during which several tables became empty but still no new customers we let in. The guy at the reception didn't say anythin (Japanese or otherwise), he was just chaotically running around. This "service" is not ok, especially since it is significantly more expensive them other restaurants...
