We were craving sushi while walking around Mosaic and this place appeared on Google Maps with a rating of 3.9 (at the point of writing this) so we thought let’s just give it a shot. The other comments were not too shabby as well, so, despite with not much of an expectation, we gave it a shot. First thing first, someone has commented before that the pin and direction on Google Maps is absolutely appalling - trust me you will go round and around, absolute bonkers at first. This place is at on 2F, and it is at the very end of Mosaic towards where the ferris wheel is. This is where I failed as I did not read the comments properly ( this visit was done in a whim as we were craving, hence ) but when you get in, go straight to the screen and click on “appointment”. So here is where the low rating for service came in: the staff was standing there, looking at us looking clueless yet she continued to look at us clueless as well. I should not use language barrier as an excuse and I could have done better to either Google translate or sorts but a simple gesture of either asking (or gesturing) that she can help would have been helpful instead of just staring at us clueless, and left us trying to figure things out on our own. Perhaps she is new, perhaps an intern, perhaps it was her first day, but there were other senior looking staff close to her and were noticing us, blatantly ignoring us. Nevertheless, despite watching a frontrunner for the worst service award in Kobe, the tuna and seared eel saved the dinner. Hopefully they can work on improving their service...
Read moreFirst things first, the pointer on google maps isnt accurate at present and unfortunately we spent AGES looking for this restaurant within Harbourland Umie Mall. This restaurant is actually located on 2F of the Mosaic wing, near the Anpaman Museum area.
Thankfully, we found the restaurant eventually with the help of some locals. Child friendly, there is a booster seat to attach to their table seats. Counter seats are also available. It is a touch screen ordering system, which has English version as well. Generous portions of sushi, very fresh, and value for money.
