This steakhouse was situated next to other restaurants of varying quality, but when going inside I immediately felt under dressed. This has the atmosphere of a restaurant with a dress code, but they let us in with t-shirts and shorts. They had a pianist playing music for a bit. There were waiters who were watching us get up from our seats and when we sat back down they would hold our chairs for us. We were getting the Royal Treatment. I ordered the lunch course and ate the hors d'oeuvres which were smoked ham and slices of onion with some sauce on them. After that came the salad with various greens and apple chips. The soup was a rather thin tomato soup with cubes of ham, bacon, carrots, and potato. Then finally the steak arrived. It came sliced on a hot skillet with various greens, onions, and potato wedges. The meat was slightly too raw for my preference, so I repositioned the slices to cook just a little longer on the hot skillet. The meat was soft and tender, even after cooking for longer. It was already seasoned when it arrived, but then dipping it in the provided steak sauce made it all the more amazing. The potatoes and onions got even better as they were left of the hot skillet. This steak is the best beef I've ever had, hands down. I don't think I'll ever be able to have another steak without comparing it to this. After the steak was a scoop of French vanilla ice cream with Corn Flakes that was more of an afterthought to what came before, but it wasn't bad by any means.
Restaurant experience: 5/5 Overall meal course: 4.8/5 - the soup was boring and the dessert was unimpressive, but everything else was great Steak main dish: 5/5 - What can I say about this that hasn't already been said about the Rapture? Price: 5/5 - For two people the final bill was 11,100 JPY, which is a steal for...
Read moreVisited Sandaya for dinner after walking through Mosaic. The restaurant offers a classy and elegant atmosphere. I opted for the 140g Kobe Loin Steak. The staff was notably polite and courteous, though I found communication challenging as they didn’t speak much English – unexpected for a restaurant of this caliber. While the cured ham was a standout, I felt the overall meal, particularly the steak, didn’t quite live up to its price point. Some portions of the steak were great, but there were inconsistent cuts beneath. The accompanying salad was standard, and the tomato soup was basic. While the ambiance and service were commendable, I personally wouldn’t return based on my...
Read moreWhat a Kobe beef top grade experience. The full (Christmas) course from drink, ham hors d'oeuvres special, salad, soup, steak (2 set of tenderloin and 2 sets of sirloin), rice, dessert and coffee/tea. The steak came in grill hot stove. You should let it simmer a few seconds and place it on the cabbage and keep it pink. Heads up, do not let the waitress help you, they will turn it done! I will leave it you to guess the amount of steak in grams we had. It was definitely not cheap. There was a pianist playing Xmas songs while you enjoy the meal.
The most expensive meal I ever had! But I will pay to eat the tender, pink tenderloin Kobe beef ever.
Thanks for...
