Last year we had the best experience at this restaurant, the food was amazing and the staff so kind, we even asked for a second steak, it was so good.

That's why we decided to repeat the experience and came all the way from Hakata just to eat here once more, but the place was already full at 11:30 AM, at least that was what we were told. It was because we don't stay at the hotel where the restaurant is located I presume. Last year we don't even had a reservation but that was not a problem since we were guests. Located on the 14th floor of Kobe Meriken Park Oriental Hotel, they serve superb Kobe beef done teppanyaki style. Light appetisers served include Spanish mackerel with wild French asparagus and chawamushi. Main course includes excellent grade Kobe beef slices, steamed cooked onions, bean sprouts and garlic chips. Garlic rice with rice crisps came with the main. I had a fantastic sunset dinner here on Saturday night. The views were unrivaled, and so was the service. You really do get what you pay for. Dinner for two with drinks came to about $300, and that included a very hospitable chef and live show. I found everything delicious and expertly prepared. I would love to return one day.
