Hoshikawa Cafe — Restaurant in Kumagaya

小さいながら、とても心地いい雰囲気を醸し出す街中のカフェです。唯一の欠点は、出入り口が数段の階段となっているため、車椅子等の障碍を持つ方や大きな荷物を持つ方が利用しづらい点だと思います。 注文カウンターで事前に注文する必要があります（会計は退店時です）。客席スペースは2か所あり、1か所は靴を履いたまま利用できますが、もう1か所は靴を脱ぎ、スリッパに履き替える必要があります。靴を脱ぐ必要のある客席スペースは、外からの光が入りづらいものの、調度品や床に使われている明るめの木材が程よい明るさを演出していました。ところどころに配置されている小物類も、絶妙な色合いと配置で、こちらも心地いい空間を演出していました。 給仕される料理はパンケーキが中心で、夏季にはかき氷が追加されます。料理だけでなくドリンクも非常にこだわりを持っており（特にパンケーキは、熊谷産の小麦粉・卵を使用している、とのこと）、味は勿論のこと香りも存分に引き出した淹れ方をしているようにも感じます。ドリンク・料理共に強すぎない絶妙な味で、パンケーキにトッピングされているフルーツ類の素材に至るまで、味を充分に引き出しているように感じました。器や盛り付けなどの見た目も素晴らしいです。 スタッフの接客対応も、距離感を保ちつつ穏やかな口調で対応していました。入店から退店まで、心地の良いひと時を過ごせると思います。

Although small, this cafe is located in the city, creating a very comfortable atmosphere. The only drawback is that the entrance and exit is a few steps, making it difficult for people with disabilities such as wheelchairs or those with large luggage to use. It's necessary to order in advance at the order counter (the bill is due when you leave). There are two seating areas, one of which can be used with shoes on, but the other requires removing shoes and changing into slippers. The seating area where one must take off one's shoes is not well lit from the outside, but the light wood used for the furnishings and flooring creates a good amount of brightness. The exquisite coloring and placement of the small items placed here and there also created a comfortable space. The dishes served are mainly pancakes, with the addition of shaved ices during the summer months. Not only the dishes but also the drinks are made with great care (the pancakes, in particular, are made with Kumagaya flour and eggs, according to the staff), and the brewing process seems to bring out not only the taste but also the aroma to the fullest. Both the drinks and the food have an exquisite flavor that is not too strong, and even the fruit toppings on the pancakes seem to bring out the full flavor of the ingredients. 2024年1月9日午前中に訪問。運良く空いていたので何時も座るカウンターではなく奥のスペース(画像と動画を投稿)で寛ぎました。ご主人と楽しい会話。コーヒーの事をいろいろ教えて貰えて楽しいですよ。今日のフレンチプレスもコーヒーは熟成感のある味。酸味の奥に複雑な奥行きがあり且つふくよか。最後に、のどに甘みが残りました。美味しかったです。
