The food was really nice but the service was disappointing. At the start we were pushed to scan a QR code to order, which was frustrating as we are not from Japan and couldn’t use it. It required downloading an app, which felt like much more hassle than if the staff had just taken our order. It also took a long time to get someone’s attention and when we finally did, the staff member acknowledged us but went on to serve other tables who had arrived after us. I also noticed she didn’t push those customers to use the QR code.
I made it clear that I do not eat pork and ordered a vegetarian pasta. The set menu included a corn soup, so I checked multiple times that it contained no pork. When it arrived, I asked again and discovered it actually did have pork, so I sent it back. Nothing was offered as a replacement. Later we were served bread, also part of the set menu. My partner received two slices while I was given only one. I asked the staff about this but they were unhelpful, so I ended up with one slice while my partner had two.
The salad was fresh and enjoyable and the pasta itself was good, though it needed more cheese and felt a bit frugal. I wanted the cheesecake for dessert but it was sold out, so I had an affogato instead. The extra pasta option for 220¥ is a great deal, but overall the service was well below expectations. Lastly, even though staff were coming and going, the dishes kept piling up on our table. They’d bring out the next course and not take any dirty dishes back to...
Read moreFirst of all, the star of the show for me was the bread and cream that they served me. I’ve been to several countries and have tried many types of bread but this bread has been the best I have had in my entire life.
They served me the soup of the day which tasted very light and creamy. It was squash soup. They also served me a Kale salad which I am not a fan of Kale; however, it was delicious. For the main course, I ordered a pasta (forgot the name) but it had a great texture and flavor. As for dessert I ordered Neapolitan pancakes, which to my surprise was not crazy sweet. It had the perfect balance of flavor combinations. They didn’t even need syrup. The pancakes come with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. The cream was not sweet, which balances the sweetness of the ice cream. To drink, I ordered orange juice. The juice was too bitter for my taste but it was good.
The staff were very nice and friendly. They took the menu and when I asked to order something else they brought it back. When I didn’t understand something they would try to explain in English. They did ask you if it’s your first time here so that they can explain how the menu works. This is a 3 course menu type restaurant.
Overall experience 10/10! I will...
Read moreWe had lunch here right after the shop opened, served with a soup, salad, bread, pasta and drinks which costed 1,500 yen.
Soup of today was corn soup, the texture was very smooth with sweetness. Toast was the signature plate of this restaurant and it was incredibly amazing. Structure was solid with high intensity, perfectly matched with the salty cream.
The salad gave you freshness for this set and pasta was good too. The cream sauce was very rich while matching with chestnut was unexpectedly match.
Overall dining experience is satisfactory. The environment is nice and location is convenient. Service is good too. Will definitely visit...
