We probably had one of the most intimate experiences thanks to such a friendly group of people at the cafe. The owner (& it’s impolite I did not ask him for his name), is very friendly, with over 40 years of experience in the coffee business. As we sat around the barista’s table, a few regulars walked in. The hour flew by very quickly as we chatted up, with the owner introducing us and them to us. We wish we could have stayed more. It was really fab connecting with such friendly folks in Kumamoto. When we showed an interest in the teacups, the lovely gentleman running the place told us the story of some of the cups in their collection. It’s so nice to see so much passion for every aspect of the coffee experience, including the quality of the cups you drink it from. We’ll definitely go...

In watching the owner and his wife work together, is like watching a dance sequence choreographed by great Jerome Robbins. When visiting Kumamoto, put this amazing coffee shop on your must see list. The Irish Coffee...
