We were walking by and dropped into the restaurant without any advance notice so I think they were a bit surprised since we didn’t have a reservation. Overall the host and staff were all excellent. We got the omakase. The chef prepared the food and the menu was fairly diverse. Overall the food was good but not even in the top 3 best meals we had in Niseko. There were 8 dishes so you are paying almost 4000 yen a dish, which seems excessive since some are small things like dessert. Another issue was the service, which was just okay for such an expensive restaurant. For example they gave us a hot towel at the start but then didn’t collect it until the end of meal service, even though it was used and just sitting there the entire meal. Also when they brought the bill, it was just a single total and not itemized with the drinks and other items we were charged for. We have no idea what the other costs were. Overall for the price of 33,000 yen a person without drinks, I would say it is not worth it. For that price in Tokyo or any other major city, you could eat at a 2 Michelin star restaurant. This restaurant is charging 2 Michelin star prices but doesn’t deliver on the food or service. It is a new restaurant so hopefully they improve.

Super enjoyable, authentic yet creative omakase experience. Fresh wasabi grated in front of you, made with precision, patience, and skillfully shaped with chopsticks. Complex flavors, gentle spicy, creamy texture with sweet undertones. Every dish is an art and musical composition. Fresh and quality ingredients, many locally sourced. Complimentary and contrasting composition, achieving dynamic flavors yet perfectly balanced. Highlighting few dishes: amazing grilled fish, re-composed toro sushi, sukiyaki waygu served in a 100+ year old bowl. Pictures tell much better than words.. highly recommend this culinary experience. Insider Tips: Limited counter seats, RSVP mandatory. Seasonal openings, Dec to March only. For those who wants to try in other seasons, can visit Maruyama in Hokkaido (same owner Miho and head chef Hiroyuki).

This was by far our best dinner in Niseko and maybe even on our whole trip to Japan! The way the food was prepared, presented and tasted, was just fabulous. Very limited seating around a talented chef and a very watchful and professional team. The wine list was astounding and the Sakes available excelent. One can feel the pride of Hokaido in their menus. You must reserve because this is the best spot for dinner in Niseko! Many thanks to @dan.niseko for giving us the opportunity to taste and feel the beauty of Hokaido on a cold winters evening! What an experience! As I don’t eat fish or seafood I was skeptical about what to expect here but the chef created an exceptional meal for me. Watching the chef and his assistant was an experience in itself; watching them prepare, create and plate the dishes of our 8 course dinner was feast for the eyes as well our appetites. Everything I ate was delicious. Service was wonderful and our party of 9 was made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant is new and I sincerely wish them good luck for a long and prosperous future. If you’re visiting Niseko, this restaurant should definitely be...
