Not sure about others - but our experience was one nothing short of a tragedy. First the waiting space was cold, small and honestly no staff came to kindly inform any waiting time despite our requests.

Next - food is exorbitantly priced , it’s self proclaimed famed food, sushi, was about 80USD for the set. 8 pieces of Mediocare average tasting sushi. We said we would like wasabi in the sushi - a staple for sushi - there was NONE.

We ordered at 6.30pm, and tables who were sat and ordered after 6.30pm was served the exact same set before us. Confused, I tried to approach the staff to ask as it had been about half an hour of waiting by then, they brushed it off lightly without stopping saying coming coming. Terrible service despite the numerous waiters.

If you’re starving and there’s absolutely no where to eat, you’d be better off going to the opposite convenience store buying a bento or nigiri, that would taste infinite...

Let me start by getting to the point: this is a tourist trap. We went in because we came out for dinner late and it was our first night there. The place that we wanted to go to was closed that day; instead of standing in the freezing cold, we decided to enter into the closest restaurant. The food was ok - not great. The fried stuff was nice but the rest were really subpar to what we have been getting in Japan, even the small establishment. They limited the amount of tissue paper we could get (even though we had children). And it just seemed like a well oiled business that is capturing tourists like us. I do not recommend going there... It is at your own risk. But if it is for the...

Great food and fast service! It was the only open restaurant we could find on a Sunday evening in early June along the main street of Kutchan. It seems like the many other restaurants in town are only open during ski season?

Even though we came in the restaurant 20 minutes before their closing time they still accommodated us and served us quite quickly. Their set meals (seafood, etc) at dinner time are reasonably priced. Their chawanmushi (savoury egg custard) was quite good. More sweet than savoury and didn't taste/smell very egg-y at all. I also love their gyozas (meat dumplings) and so far one of the best gyozas I...

Walked in due to heavy snow and its central location. The set was decent and sashimi was fresh but bit over priced for its quality. Due to its proximity to many places, lot of tourists come here and maybe that's why service was subpar. It's okay place if you are hungry and don't have the time/energy to hunt for hidden gem places. Don't get the fire grilled uni appetizer (not worth the money) the miso seafood hotpot looked nice although didn't get to try due to its 2 people min. order.
