Went as a group of six and had the Kaze set. The beef quality was average, for Japan standard, but it was A LOT of food! When the first course of beef yakiniku was served, it was like 3 or 4 types of beef and you get 2 pieces per type, we thought that was all the beef we were getting and was getting a little disappointed, but boy were we wrong, we then got at least 3 more courses of beef served for yakiniku and sukiyaki. Along with a bunch of other courses including various appetizers and fusion dishes, we were so stuffed the girls actually couldn’t finish their portion.
The food and portion was definitely good value for your bucks, but I do feel like service could be better. For all the beef, there was no instruction or recommendation provided on how long we should cook each type of meat for the best taste (although they tasted good anywhere between medium rare and well done).
Oh and all the various highball drinks were very diluted, so I would suggest sticking with just beer or on the rock.
Our stomachs left very stuffed (this is rare in Japan!)...

Enjoyed satisfying quality grilled meats at this Japanese restaurant. Here’s what we had!
🌟 Yakiniku with Grilled Vegetables Highlight of the meal is definitely the tender short rib 🥹 It’s my first time trying Shiraoi beef from Hokkaido and it’s pretty impressive. We also tried the tongue and coulotte cuts of the Japanese black beef 🥩
🌟 Tenderloin & Yakiniku with Sauce We also had 3 types of Shiraoi beef fillet
🌟 Red King Crab Fresh cold king crab with fish roe 🦀
🌟 Yukhoe Topped with caviar, the wagyu beef yukhoe is a raw meat dish (similar to beef tartare)
Apart from these, we also enjoyed a mixture of unagi & beef sushi, appetisers and truffle salad as part of the Kaze course (¥19,800 per pax) 🍣
Overall, a quality yakiniku spot in Hirafu that’s popular among ski/snowboard enthusiasts in Niseko (though prices are on the steeper side). This Japanese restaurant also serves non-beef and vegetarian options. Do make a reservation ahead of your visit!

Read moreA restaurant specialising in Wagyu beef dishes, which one will need to have a keen appetite for fatty meat. I found their Kobe beef not as good as local bred Wagyu, perhaps I am not frenzy of too much cow fat, but I had Wagyu elsewhere in Japan where I tasted very soft & yet flavorful beef. Services (except for some staff) were mediocre. We had the steamed egg as starter, but it was cold inside & definitely not properly re-heated (not to mention if’s cooked to order). We’re charged for a pot of green tea for ¥1000 which was too much. When we settled our bill & the staff took my money but kept talking to other walk-in customers. I was standing almost 5 minutes & asked to settle the change before the staff responded. Our jackets were kept near the entrance door but there was literally no heating & it’s definitely an ordeal that we got our jackets & put on there in a freezing...
