Our family had dinner at Mori Niseko and we’re all delighted and really happy with the experience. Set in a modern, warm and cozy space, it was the perfect atmosphere for a family dinner after a long day of skiing. The courses were tasty, interesting, unique and of great quality and flavor. The sashimi was of utmost quality and the beef and pork shabu were fantastic. Vivian, our server, took good care of us, and did so with class and professionalism. She gave us careful and calm guidance, and took us through a culinary journey where we learnt about the history of each dish, and how carefully they were sourced and prepared. She certainty lifted our experience and our family really enjoyed interacting with her. All-in-all, this was a hidden gem that we recommend wholeheartedly.

We were really looking forward to this place for Sukiyaki, however the reviews do not do justice for the poor service. The waiter and waitress seem totally clueless of the procedure, inattentive, and does not live up to Japanese standards service if we are charged 16,000 yen per set menu. Not only that, our wagyu beef was “burnt” (not photographed) since our waitress did not know how to cook it properly, as she cooked the first slice on high heat with not enough sauce… definitely wasn’t trained properly. However we only took one video moments before the waitress burnt the beef, though you can see the leek is already burnt. Quite shocked we were charged with this kind of service that we needed to cook the rest ourselves to ensure our paid wagyu was cooked properly….. Maybe hot pot might’ve been a better option… The food from appetizers to dessert itself is great, but might need more training to live up to its price.

Totally overpriced for the subpar food quality and service. We ordered three prime beef sets. For our starters, we were each served with sashimi with chewy tissue, which either reflects low quality cut or knife skills of the chef. When we told the waitress about this, she offered to replace them but she never returned with anything. We also separately asked for udon with soup. Despite of her confirming it before leaving the room, she came back with cooked udon without soup and then udon was all stuck together. It then took them a while to bring replacement. The rest of the sukiyaki dish wasn’t cooked well. Some of the vegetables were undercooked and we also found the broth quite salty. We will never come back for sure. you can find sth way better for a fraction of the cost that’s being charged.

Fantastic experience here! One of the highlights of our Niseko trip. The service was top notch and they prepared the Shabu Shabu for us— a welcome treat for us newbies. The ambiance of the space was really enjoyable and we were seated in a semi private space which only added to the experience. The additional courses included a chawanmushi which the whole table raved about. Very much a ‘splurge’ meal but would happily come back if ever in Niseko again.

Fantastic Sukiyaki dinner at Shabu Shabu Mori Niseko! Chutoro sashimi appetiser that melts in your mouth. Wagyu beef for the sukiyaki is perfectly marbled, needs only a moment in the chafing dish to be done, and it too melts in your mouth. Pairs perfectly with a carafe of local Niseko daininjo sake. Hokkaido milk pudding for dessert is a perfect end to a perfect après ski dinner.

We went to Shabu Shabu Mori last week. The food was super good, very tasty and nice presentation. The staff were nice and services were superior. There was an accident on the way we went there. After the staff knew our situation, they were all very helpful and provided assistance and help. We were heartwarming and appreciated the help provided by the staff. 香港人開的店,支持!:)
