I recently had the pleasure of dining at Crab Dining Kanon, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. If you’re a seafood lover, especially a fan of crab, this is a must-visit spot that truly elevates crab cuisine to the next level.
The restaurant has a warm, inviting atmosphere with a modern yet cozy design. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, making sure we felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout the meal. Their service was prompt, and they were knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations based on our preferences.
Now, onto the star of the show—the crab! The freshness of the seafood was outstanding. We tried several dishes, but the standout was the crab hot pot—rich, flavorful broth with succulent crab meat that was tender and juicy. The grilled king crab legs were perfectly cooked, with a slight char that enhanced the natural sweetness of the meat. We also enjoyed the crab sashimi, which was fresh, delicate, and beautifully presented.
What I appreciated most was the attention to detail in both the preparation and presentation of each dish. The flavors were well-balanced, allowing the natural taste of the crab to shine without being overpowered by heavy seasonings. They also offered a good selection of sake, which paired wonderfully with the seafood.
The prices were reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes. It’s clear that Crab Dining Kanon takes pride in sourcing fresh ingredients and delivering a memorable dining experience.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area. Whether you’re a local or a tourist, Crab Dining Kanon will not disappoint. I can’t wait to return and try more of their amazing...
Read moreIf you find yourself in Niseko and heard all about the amazing fresh exotic crab varieties then this restaurant will allow you to tick that box before you fly home. Of course, if you live in Japan or have spent time in other cities then you will find the set menu to be quite expensive. What is delivered to your table is exactly what is listed on the menu. They are tasty and fresh but we are not talking about heightened creativity here. To be honest, the small plate of plain rice with a sprinkle of roes and a small frozen ball of ice cream at the end of the meal felt like a token afterthought. It is not bad overall but value is very subjective in this case. Service is ok. Minimal interactions but it is prompt and efficient. The decor is simple and functional. You are there to partake and depart. There are not a lot of...
Read moreSuper disorganized. Somehow allowed me to choose a date and time, select an additional uni tray, pay for it and check out, show a confirmation screen, only to have me show up to the restaurant to find out that my "reservation wasn't completed" so they didn't have a table for us. Amazing amount of incompetence, non--communication and bad service. When we challenged them on why something we paid for wasn't available, they called the police!! Funny now, but really wasn't then.
They seem to be surviving only because of the scarcity of options in Niseko, and therefore think they can get away with being rude. Don't blame you for trying to book here, there are barely any other options lol. Niseko sucks. Go to Tahoe, Switzerland, or the Dolemites for...
