The food was good, but definitely on the pricey side, which is to be expected since this seems to be the most authentic german bread that you can get in Kyoto, perhaps in Kansai even. I cannot vouch for much regarding authenticity since I have never stepped my foot in Germany. I enjoyed the sausage sandwich, the berry cake, and the pretzel that I got from them very much. However, I cannot help but feeling that the staff manning the register was a new addition to the team. Service can definitely be faster. We were not disappointed!
It's small but has a good selection of some of the most delicious-looking pastries I've seen in Kyoto. We tried the Mohnschnecke (モーンシュネッケ) and the Blaubeertaler (ブラウベアターラー) as well as a couple of sandwiches, the Bratwurst and Smoked Chicken.
Everything was simply delicious. We ate in as they have a few tables inside. It was very relaxing, and they have a small patio with a few more tables that we're excited to try once the temperature drops a little.
