My two friends and I stumbled across this bakery as it was close by to where we were staying during our time in Kyoto.

We were enticed by the lovely smell of freshly baked goods while walking past, and we were greeted by a lovely lady who tried her best to talk to us in English. We were impressed by not only the friendliness of the workers here but most importantly the food.

800-1000 yen got us around 5 different types of baked goods and a small drink, and I am happy to say that it was one of the better bakeries we visited during our time in Japan (we tried other bakeries that were within popular stations). Our Japanese was not very good so we sort of just chose the foods that looked nice, but we were not disappointed. We visited the bakery three mornings in a row.

On our last day, we said our final goodbyes. Again, being the lovely lady she is, she gave us a little care package of cookies to send us off. This shop is a definite must visit if you are in the area, as not only is the food delicious and cheap, the service here is...

11/12/24 - We stopped by this bakery by chance the other day. The quality and appearance of their baked treats is excellent! They have both sweet and savory goods. One of the things that also made it a wonderful experience was the friendliness & patience of the ladies who work there. The lady who rang up our goods waited and kindly helped me while I struggled with counting out my coins. We loved it so much that we went again and will probably go a few more times before we leave Kyoto. I wish we had these delicious items at our bakeries on...

Amazing bakery in Kyoto. Very kind staff/owners, we accidentally dropped a pastry on the floor and they got us a new one and did not charge us for it ๐Ÿ˜Š

My favorite was the muffin (tastes like pound cake) and the apple pastry. Many options, sweet, as well as savory. Mini teriyaki burger was pretty good. We came there a couple times. We ordered to-go (take-away), they...
