Gyoza no Ohsho - Kyoto Prefectural Office — Restaurant in Kyoto

My wife and I are American and we found this place as we were walking. Went in stood there for a bit and a young man told us to sign in. We signed in and a few minutes later a female waitress (you could tell she did not want to serve us) asked us bar or booth. By the way no English spoken all Japanese. We sat at the bar and ordered from the menu by pointing and gesturing. The food came out and it was delicious for the price. The whole place was full of locals and the staff were always busy. So I am sure we put them off there groove with our little Japanese we knew. Either way I would go here to eat any day of the week, great place...

This is a casual Chinese restaurant about 7min walk from the castle entrance.

They serve really good gyozas and Mapo tofu here. Service menu has lots of pictures and fairly self explanatory along with a few English words. We ordered sets and they came out fresh and tasty.
