People who leave reviews are usually Karen’s. Shout out to ya’ll!!! BUT in this case I will become one and say this: Once in a lifetime, you get lost in the small streets of Kyoto and walking by a stream look up to see a “sign” that says Ginza Music Bar Kyoto which then one follows and has a life changing experience. Not only spun in. It’s intoxicating musical journey all played on vinyl but also wind and dined like no other monk could possibly decipher.

I thought it couldn’t get better than its brother in actually Ginza but ACTUALLY, it can.

Well worth a visit while in Kyoto. Newly opened vinyl listening bar with exquisite attention to detail. Stunning dj booth takes centre stage surrounding the DJ with a variety of music, from classic soul to more modern pop, ambient and many other genres I’m sure. Went on a Saturday night so it was a more uptempo disco and soul vibe. Nice to experience a DJ taking great care in his selection and the audio is crisp. You can tell a lot of thought has been put into the design and ambience. Cocktails were also first class. Didn’t get to try any food this time but experienced enough to warrant a return visit. As same as Tokyo edition, this place has amazing sound system, DJs are playing super cool and groovy tunes. Waiters and cocktail maestros are young, fast and very kind. The place itself is all in concrete and wood creating very relaxed and warm vibe. As opposed to Tokyo, here you can also find some nice food to pair with your drinks. If coming later or in group go for a reservation upfront as it gets crowdy pretty fast. And since it's an amazing vibe, people do stay long so getting a table or a seat can become a challenge.
