We chose to have our family special holiday dinner at this restaurant and we were very happy with our choice. Although it took some time to make the reservation and choose the menu but they were really patient with us. We have 5 adults and 1 toddler, and we ordered 3 Hotpot and 2 Sukiyaki sets. 激戦区、京都は祇園の人気店で水炊きを頂きました。

まずオーダーは水炊き単品、唐揚げ、雑炊、ドリンク、2人合わせて15,800円。

最初に湯呑へしょうがと塩を入れ、そこに水炊きの出汁をいれたスープ。 まずこれがめちゃくちゃ美味い。 そうこうしてると鍋が出来上がり、まずは鶏肉を頂く。 柔らかく脂が乗った鶏肉が、口の中でホロホロとほどけながら溶けていく。。。普段食べてる鶏肉ってなんなの？と言いたくなります笑。 唐揚げではその違いがさらに顕著に感じやすく、普通の唐揚げと違い衣が柔らかくてんぷらに近い感じでしたが、おそらくこの柔らかい鶏肉は普段口にするパリパリの唐揚げの衣は合わないだろうなと思いました。 それくらい肉質が全く違う。

また最後の雑炊は職人技ですね！米を入れるだけ(ではないんだろうけど)なのに何故こんなに美味しくなるのか笑笑。 ※ちなみに鍋を一旦下げてから雑炊を作って出してくれるので、味の調整等してくれてるのか、そもそも鍋とぞうすいは別物なのかわかりませんが つけ合わせのお漬物のクオリティもしっかり抜け目なく。 完璧ですね。

たまたま新人さんが多く、多少の案内ミスなどはありましたが全く嫌な気にはなりませんでした。 雑炊を準備してくれた男の子は若干手が震えていたのですが、それくらいひとつの仕事にプレッシャーを感じながら集中してる姿は心震えるものがありました。

帰りは店先まで大将らしき人がお見送り。 この辺りは京都クオリティ。
