Went to the place with 3 italian friends of mine and we all agreed the quality is on par with high level pizzeria in Italy, especially when it comes to ingredient choices and overall service.
The staff was incredibly friend to all of us, especially once they got to know we were Italians, they can so speak a fair bit of it; english is also not a problem.
The menu is just the right balance between possibility of choice and quality, with the possibility to eat everything from "primi piatti" to "secondi" and even Italian desserts.
The price is quite honest, while being even lower than what you would pay in most italian pizza restaurants.
Only complaint was the salt in the pizza dough, unfortunately it was kinda lacking, but it could also be due to how locals prefer it, the pizza was quite enjoyable nonetheless. They also ask for allergies which is something I've yet to experience in Japan.
I'd recommend to make a reservation if you wish to eat here.
We thank you for the chance you've given us to feel back home even in...
Read moreAfter 2.5 weeks of absolutely delicious Japanese cuisine, we both had a craving for a margherita pizza. Not sure if I should have given this a 5 star rating. We showed up at 7 pm on a Tuesday night without reservations. A sign outside the front door said that they were booked up; no waiting for a table if you didn't have a reservation. Although we checked to see if there were any last minute cancellations, we were unable to be seated. So, we ordered take out. Once we received the pizzas (Margherita and Diavolo), we sped back to our hotel with a 10 minute walk.
The pizzas were warm (not hot). The sauce was beautifully balanced and the cheese was rich and delicious. Unfortunately, the crusts were floppy and not crisp, likely due to the steam from sitting inside the pizza boxes.
I would really like to try this pizza again when I can sit down and eat it hot and fresh from their wood fired oven. My recommendation is to try to get a reservation. Take out was 4 stars but I'm guessing eating...
Read moreThe pizza was good, however the atmosphere was very very loud, and the food arrives after more than an hour.
We were there the whole family, getting there on Saturday in the evening meant that we had to wait about an hour to get in. However, I'll be the first to me that the pizza was really good and we enjoyed it very much. How do I recommend ordering the lasagna, who's too salty in the meat was not prepared the way we used to.
The thing that annoyed us the most was the noise in the restaurant. And not only from the visitors, some of the waiters probably think that Italian restaurant is authentic only if they're really really loud. It was terrible.
We waited for an hour just to get her pizzas! There was no excuse for that. And there was no compensation either.
Go there if you're fed up or Japanese traditional food, and be prepared for a long way...
