Japanese Italian and meat dishes W — Restaurant in Kyoto

It's a tourist trap; quiet, expensive and mediocre food. Worst part is all the extra hidden cost at the end. Like 500 yen to be able to use a chair. They apologize for it, but won't do anything about it. Crazy. Avoid this place!

Edit: this cover charge is not common; it's the first time I've encountered it in Japan. And even then; there have been complaints about the hidden costs in reviews of this place for months, so there have been plenty of opportunities and time to resolve it. Real action would be to make sure it's clear, to print it in the menu, or to offer me something in return if not cancel it. We sat down as a family of 6 greeted very nicely by the staff, atmosphere was nice, however had no Japanese beer. My drink was wrong to start off with but on the second try it was very nice. However a family members drink did not have a drop of alcohol in it. We have reserved a table for 2 for this amazing restaurant with close cherry blossom view. There are two kinds of seats, indoor and outdoor terrace. Though when we arrived, the restaurant found out that they have made a mistake in reservation, getting us a table outdoor (7-8 degrees). But they correct it by asking a walk in table of Japanese to give the table back to us. They apologied with good manner.
