Probably the best cafe in Kyoto. We stumbled upon this beautiful cafe after our lunch in the street. The street itself is popular for it its Okonomiyaki but this cafe is in a different range! It is quite a small place with just a few seats, but it’s worth the wait. Nice and stylish interior. They serve mainly Madeleines, Cheese Cake and Brownies to their coffee. The coffee itself is a drip coffee from changing origin. For me one of the best coffees in Kyoto. Smooth but also quite complex taste. The Madeleine was one of the best I ever had. Extremely fluffy, not to fatty. The filling with true vanilla was outstanding. Even if it’s more expensive compared to other cafes in Kyoto a highly recommendation. Of course the staff is really nice. We had a great chat with them😊

Their desserts are super delicious! I've been a frequent visitor and come to this place at least once a month. It requires an advance reservation that you can do from its website. Doughnuts and cheesecake are only available for dine-in. I'm in love with the custard inside the doughnuts. Also, the cheesecake is so fluffy and delicious. Pair it up with either strawberries or prune. I opted for the earl grey marinated prune.

Walked in on 13 Nov, Wed, around 3.30pm. We were unfortunately informed that all custard donuts & cheesecakes were fully reserved & all indoor seats were taken. Although 2 outdoor seats were available, we decided to leave as those were the popular items. Pretty disappointed as we made a trip down all the way from central Kyoto via taxi, squeezing this into our schedule. Do note to make a reservation through their instagram link before going down. Did not see any mention in English on google/instag about reservations.

2024.9 3年以上ぶりに久しぶりに訪問。色々システムは変わっていますが現在は事前予約制。毎週月曜日22:00から翌週の営業日(水)(木)(土)(日)の事前予約受付を開始しているそう。ドーナツ・チーズケーキは店内飲食のみの提供なので予約必須。 チーズケーキとハーフサイズドーナツのセット 2400円 予約時にメニューを決めるのでお店ではチーズケーキに添えるフルーツを決めます。ちなみに今回はいちじく、シャインマスカット、プルーンの3択。ドリンクも様々あり好きなものをオーダー。10分くらいで提供。ドーナツはハーフサイズですが相変わらず結構なボリューム。中にクリームがしっかり入っており濃厚。甘いですが美味しい1品。続いて提供されるチーズケーキもかなりのボリューム。中がトロトロでイートインのみの提供にも納得の1品。 他にはあまりないチーズケーキとドーナツなので好きな人には1度試して欲しい。 2021.6 2019年3月に開店したカフェ。英国の老舗「St. JOHN」にいた大木氏のお店。月、火、金休みでイートインは完全予約制。看板メニューであるチーズケーキとドーナツはイートイン限定。HPから予約。予約時にオーダー必須。（11時〜12時、12時半〜13時半、14時〜15時、15時半〜16時半、16時45分〜17時45分（土日のみ）一時間制1人又は2名まで。)平日の12:30-13:30訪問。嵐電の龍安寺駅から歩いて3分くらい。 チーズケーキセット1550円/チーズケーキとミニドーナツのセット1960円 ドリンクと追加注文がある場合のみオーダー。事前にオーダーしていた割に提供までが非常に遅く何故か後から来て後でオーダーしたお客さんの方が先に提供される。コーヒーが全然出てこず20分超で提供。ドーナツはミニとは思えない大きさ。手で食べるよう言われる。上にも中にも濃厚なカスタードクリームがたっぷり。全体の調和が素晴らしく、美味しい。チーズケーキは中がとろとろ。ベイクド、レア、ベイクドと、1度に味わえる完成度の高さがすごい。イートイン限定なのも納得。非常にボリューミーでコーヒーが足りなく感じるほど。旬のフルーツを選べるがこれまた量が多い。1人で両方食べるのは困難そうなのでどっちも食べたいなら2人での訪問がおすすめ。 余談だが先に提供された女性客2人、ずっと写真撮影をしていて私たちが食べ終わって退店する時もまだ食べ始めて無かった。。

The best cheesecake i have eaten, everything it’s really good, completely loved it, the owners are really nice, they had Japanese and English menu. They had a mini spot of things they sell. IMPORTANT You have to get your name on the waiting list and then wait for a while but it’s worthy. Hope to go again to Kyoto specially for this place.

Honestly best custard donut I ever had... I wish I didn't have to order the cheesecake because it's expensive and just .. ok I personally didn't like the flavor of the plum fruit.. it felt medicinal but maybe my taste buds are of a child. I would definitely go back if I can reserve a slot just for the donut next time!!
