This is a place where the food speaks the people's hearts. It's a place where you go to feel like you're part of a family, even if you're far away from home and can't speak the language. It is the place where families come with their children for a mid-week dinner.
Your clothes will smell of the teppan-yaki grill, sure, but you will leave having eaten filling, good food. Although I can just about manage 'hi' and 'thank you' in Japanese, language was not a problem as the waiter spoke very good English and there was an English menu available.
We had okonomiyaki, my first one ever actually, and I will always remember the chef surprising me with a heart-shaped okonomiyaki. :) I was only sorry I wasn't hungrier so I could try some of the other dishes customers ordered too because they sure...
