The low star rating is not for the restaurant nor the food. I love Kurasushi everywhere but this shop is way too busy for its size. What's more, the counter staff are extremely rude. As I do not know Japanese nor do they have a digital display for serving people who are waiting with a number, I tried to ask a male staff (Nakajima 中島)。 He was extremely rude by saying "no no no" impatiently. After 75 minutes of waiting and seeing a fair amount of people getting their seats (who arrived behind me and obviously queued under the walk-in numbering machine), I asked another girl at the counter and she looked back into the list and I guessed she said I missed the calling of my number. She was kind enough to give me a seat and I saw Nakajima sneaking a smile. I was infuriated. This guy likes to pick on foreigners and I saw he did the same thing to a few people who cannot speak Japanese. If any Kurasushi management is ever to read this, please put a digital display for the queueing customers. Most of your staff are usually nice and the food is great. However I will go to another...
Read moreTerrible experience. I got the salmon, the yellow tail, the roe, the squid, Nigiri and every single one was mediocre at best. The worst part, however, was the ramen, and mango. Here me out, I know it's a sushi joint but because the sushi was honestly bad I tried out the ramen and it was incredibly salty. When I called the waiter over to ask them to take it off (I barely touched it) he acted as if he couldn't understand me. For context I speak fluent Japanese. I just told him to forget it. In the end I ordered a mango slice (because how can you screw that up?) And it came out half frozen, gooey, and tasted gross. Again I asked a waiter and she told me that is how "its meant to be". Idk about you, but I don't think the "fresh mango" on their menu could ever translate to the goopey mess I got. I attached a picture of the mango for your viewing pleasure. Be forewarned going to this location. There are plenty of better sushi spots rught around the corner. Overall would...
Read moreKura sushi is a chain. In many chains they have a English menu. When you come in, you have to choose if you want a table or single seat. At this location everything was Japanese, so we got help from the staff to reserve a table.
Unfortunately this chain is also popular with the locals. so it was really busy inside. We had to wait over 1 hour to get a seat.
You have to order food from a computer screen. Although everything was in Japanese, it was easy to order. The Sushi and the rest of the food was really great. Best sushi I ever had. I can still teased the melted cheese over the sliced beef on top of the rice. Yes, I said beef en melted cheese. Or the salmon with melted cheese.
I really recommend this to every one. Especially when your with family, because the price is shockingly low.
We eat with 2 persons including drink and eat till we drop for...
