Didn’t realize this place was so close to a place I was staying at. Tried it out since the reviews were good, and saying the people there were polite and nice. Our experience was the opposite (most likely because we were foreigners). We were rushed to order, looks were cold, didn’t feel like we were wanted there. They were nice to other people there (who were Japanese). We weren’t even offer anything to drink until we asked for water or tea. They just moved the tea that was from another customer down to us. Service aside the food was okay, some items are a bit over priced. I did enjoy the tempura, thought it was made well. Not sure how other dishes tasted though. Went around 12pm and there were empty seats, the restaurant fits 14 people max and has 1 waiter and 2 chefs in the kitchen.
We ordered the daily rice special and it didn’t disappoint. The tempura were nice and light with no oil taste (old oil smell). The mushroom rice served was divine, it had so much umami flavour without being overpowering. The side dishes were equally great, it’s a happy balanced meal.

Overpriced, cold inside (draft came through the door), and music playing from a cheap poor-quality stereo the whole time. It’s a no from me.
The dirty dishes of other customers were left on the table for 30 minutes. Absolutely lazy and frankly they should be embarrassed...
