Worst experience I've had in my Japan trip. I came here around 11AM on a Saturday and there was no guest at all, the staff still looked so sleepy with messy hair and no ninja costume on, welcoming us with surprise faces. The place is extremely tiny in comparison to Ninja Cafe in Tokyo, though the price is still unresonably high (over 5000 yen for a course of one drink and a bow of shouyu udon with just some flakes of seaweed as toppings). The staff was friendly but not very helpful due to limited communication skill and incapability of speaking fluent English. I don't know why there are a lot of high star reviews for this place, but I do not recommend anyone to go there, try the branch in Tokyo or...
Read moreThe very definition of a tourist trap. It is a very tiny space. There are 2 areas, 3 activities. 1 hr experience can be condensed into 30min. Ours ended in 45 min. There was one ninja working there who took care of getting us the food, doing the training and she was always in a hurry. We love the city of Kyoto and have a great time as touriats. There are a lot of better things to do in kyoto, and we wouldnt recommend this at all. Our 11 yo came out thinking that it was too gimmicky. 5 yo thought it was too short. I dont think the trainer’s language ability had anything to do with our particular experience. I thought that the place was poorly set up and she being the only person working there was...
There was a sudden downpour in Kyoto, so I was wondering if there was a fun place to play in the evening, and I searched for indoor playgrounds on Google Maps and found this place, so I took my 4-year-old and 2-year-old to play here. The place is on the 6th floor, so it's hard to find, but we saw the word "ninja" on the sign and went in. When we entered the store, a kind and lively young woman served us, so we felt at ease. We weren't sure if the ninja training would be possible due to their age, as it included blowguns and shuriken throwing, so although there was a full set, we were able to order individual items separately, which was very reasonable. The children were scared at first, but the female ninja taught them kindly, so by the end they were overjoyed and did it many times. The menu was small, but the ninja-themed dishes were fun, and the children's eyes lit up when they saw the ninja dessert catch fire. I'm glad they were able to have a special experience for the first time. Payment is by credit card or other cashless method. We had planned to go home early because the paid parking lot next door charges 500 yen for 20 minutes with no time limit, but the kids were playing a lot and having a great time, so we stayed longer than expected and ended up paying several thousand yen in parking fees (^◇^;) If there is a parking lot with a time limit, I recommend parking there and walking so you can enjoy yourself without worrying about time. But the whole family is satisfied because we made some good memories. Thank...
