We enjoyed everything about this restaurant! The hostess greeted us on the street as we exited our taxi and warmly welcomed us into the restaurant. The service was amazing and very attentive. Although there were some language barriers because we only speak English, our server communicated with us well through some English and a translation app. Considering we knew no Japanese, she did a fantastic job communicating with us and helping us understand the food better.

The food itself was incredible. It was very simple, refreshing, and surprising. We tasted many new flavors, and every dish in the eight courses was delicious. Some dishes like our tipping course and the baked course had exciting and bold flavors, while the tempura and pot rice courses focused on celebrating the beauty of simple ingredients. The timing of these courses was also immaculate. The food came out hot and fresh at the perfect time after each course.

We overall loved our dining experience here and think it was well worth the stop. We would highly recommend going here. We also reserved our table through byFood because we do not have Japanese phone numbers and do not know Japanese. Although there was a significant booking fee, we were happy that it locked in a reservation at such an...

I am simply in awe of the experience I had for lunch at Nishijin Fujiyoshi. My friends and I took the train and had to walk to the restaurant. As we were looking for the address, our server came outside, greeted us by my name (as I made the reservation), and brought us to our table.

We ordered drinks and our server, Eri, explained the menu to us. Despite the language barrier, Eri took most excellent care of us. She was friendly, attentive, and she went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our meal.

The courses were all absolutely exquisite, especially the tipping cuisine, tempura, and pot rice. I was blown away by both the flavors and presentation of everything we ate.

If you are visiting Kyoto, I highly recommend dining at Nishijin Fujiyoshi. The ingredients were high quality and the price was fair for everything we got to have. At the end of our meal, Eri and the chef came outside to thank us for dining and see us off. I can honestly say this is the best experience I have ever had in...

One of the best meals we have ever had. Exceptional food and extremely nice and helpful service.

Highlights were the beef and butterfish which were out of this world and starter of crab, sesame, veg, pear and miso that worked together perfectly.

Both people there - the chef and the lady serving, saw us off to the car after dinner and she also met us outside...

There is room for 10-12 ppl max. It is run by 2 ppl that you see, the chef and a hostess, perhaps his wife, I am not sure. The food was out of this world. Pure imagination. Great combinations of local food. Go here, great food at a reasonable price. Don't forget they have 1 star Michelin 2024.
