Sake&Beer BAR WindMill — Restaurant in Kyoto

Sake & Beer BAR WindMill was the best Sake Bar I went to on my trip to Japan and was the highlight of all my evening experiences. I'd really recommend the Sake Tasting set which was beautiful presented by Nao the owner. WindMill also has a great selection of craft beer from around Japan (the wheat beer was particularly good) The atmosphere was top notch and being able to choose from a great selection of rock music to play was also fantastic. I met some lovely people here from around the world and had some great conversations with them and also the owner who is an incredible host. This bar made our trip! It’s so cosy with such a relaxed vibe. We got the sake tasting menu with exposure to exquisite sake. The owner is a wealth of knowledge and provides detailed explanations on all the various sake flavours. They also serve lots of Japanese drinks like Umeshu, Chu-Hi and Japanese craft beers. Very relaxed vibe in the bar, we watched live performances of old 60s and 70s rock concerts on the TV and we could request songs from this era. The bar owner was an absolute delight. We tried the sake tasting set which was very nice. Followed it up with a few rounds of unique and local beers and bought the gentleman a round too. He had a sizeable list of Rock music you can choose to listen too and TVs to watch concerts. Watched a Queen and Nirvana concert.
