Although I've stopped by Butanchu before, I went to check out their Honten. This area is famous for a ton of other main stores and amazing shops and Butanchu is no exception. Their huge variety of ramen choices and customizable broth and toppings are amazing... every time I've stopped by one of their shops, it has been delicious.

Instead of the "Bakusho" crazy mountain of toppings I ordered last time, I went with their popular Doko Tonkotsu ramen with Dragon Noodles, thicker broth, more pork fat, and more garlic... all for only 830¥. The price, value, and portion was absolutely perfect. That soft chashu and thick, fatty broth were unbelievable. Definitely worth...

I love Ramen; I was recommended this store by local students. (detailed tips below) Know that store hours are the serving time, so make sure to set enough time to order.

TIPS. It’s a small store run by the owner , and you order through the machine. Make sure to bring cash, I don’t remember if they took wallet or emoney. The 900 is the most popular regular option, which I recommend too, you also have to pick your noodle size. The 1100 is the more concentrated bowl.

You can also add 350 to make it a set. I recommend this. It’s self-serve water, so get it at the end of the shop next to the fan. There...

Great ramen place with an incredible choice of different noodle types. I believe in total there are about 8-10 different noodle types one can choose from. (I recommend the chilli ones!) And it gets even better because the noodle refills are free. So go ahead and tryout all the noodles you want. Just be careful not to finish your broth ;) Really a nice experience and...

Been here before and after the renewal and the taste is similar! Its a thick broth and it tastes good! The noodles can be chosen between thin and curly noodles. We chose the curly ones and it was good! The char-siu is the highlight of the meal! Free-flow of toppings at the side is also a plus.
