I came with my mom on the last day of our Kyoto trip after booking via Instagram (@sigdangmihou). We were both very impressed by the level of creativity shown in the menu. Each dish seems unique and innovative and beautifully designed. The mackerel kimchi was exquisite and unforgettable with each bite. I also enjoyed the appetizer porridge which tasted like home. Thank you for recommending the spring roll to us! We would’ve missed the world if we haven’t tried it. The pig’s feet + foie gras was like nothing I’ve tasted before. The side sauces & dipping were exceptional, especially the orange confetti. The desserts were a lovely finale to this meal. The blueberry cheesecake was baked just right and the mint leaves were a nice touch. Raisins, dried cranberries, blueberries, and other bits of dried fruits add to well to the ice cream!
We were lucky to be the only table at the time of dining, therefore enjoyed full attention of the chef. Such a special experience!
The chef studied many years of French and Italian cooking while honoring his Korean roots. These are all very apparent in the dishes.
