河内国に創建。正嘉年間（1257-59）覚済によって京都に移した。皇室の尊崇厚く、後西天皇は左近の桜を分栽され、桜寺の別称が生まれた。また、豊臣秀吉が武運を祈願して千成瓢箪を寄進、千成瓢箪を旗印に頂いたので‘ひょうたん寺’とも呼ばれ、節分にひょうたんのお守りを授与。真言宗。 「日限薬師（ひぎりやくし）」 京都十二薬師霊場会のひとつ、第五番札所の地福寺。無病息災、病気平癒などのご利益があるとされる地福寺は弘仁年間（810～824年）に空海の十大弟子のひとり、真済（しんぜい）という僧が第52代嵯峨天皇（さがてんのう）の勅許により、太秦安井（うずまさやすい）に開いたのが始まりとされています。その後、享保年間（1716～1735年）に道空和上が、公家の鷹司家（たかつかさけ）の北政所（きたのまんどころ）の病気を祈祷により治したことをきっかけに、現在の場所に移されました。観光客も訪れない、小さなお寺ですが、このお寺のご本尊である薬師如来像が出水の七不思議のひとつとされています。地福寺の薬師如来像には、小さな穴が空いた石のその穴に、5色の紐を通して薬師如来に奉納し、49日間祈願したら、耳の病気が治ったという不思議な言い伝えが残されているのです。そういうことがあってから、この薬師如来は“耳の神様”とされ、特に耳の病気にご利益があると言われるようになったのです。ところで、この薬師如来は通称「日限薬師（ひぎりやくし）」と呼ばれていますが、それは、祈願する日数を自分で決める、つまり、49日間とか、100日間とかといったように、期限を決めて祈願することから、このような呼び名になったそうです。 「通称：ひょうたん寺」 豊臣秀吉の千成瓢箪を奉って武運を祈り、その遺徳を謝した秀吉が寺領を寄進したので瓢箪寺の通称で名高い。 寺門は九条家からの移築といい堂々の構え。一年に一度、節分の日に開門して、お目当ての「ひょうたんのお守り・七福招来」「宝珠尊融通御守」を授与する。 この寺をひょうたん寺というのは、このお寺が授与している「ひょうたんのお守り」によります。このひょうたんは昔、弘法大師が中国で学んで来られた「如意宝珠の修法」という修行によるものです。如意というのは、思い通りになるということ。宝珠とは、何でも思い通りになる不思議な玉です。その玉を二つ重ねると、ひょうたんに見えるところから、ひょうたんのお守りとして、節分の日に受け来られるようになりました。 Founded in Kawachi Province. 昨年もらった『ひょうたん御守り』を返して新しい『ひょうたん御守り』をもらいに来ました。 お陰さまで昨年は大難が小難、小難が無難になり、沢山助けて頂きました。仕事も順調に進み任される製品も増え毎日充実しています😊 諸事情で日帰りする事になりましたが無事に往復出来ました👍 今年も『ひょうたん御守り』で幸福な生活を送れます様に🌸 後、欲を言えば《金運》が上がれば言うことが無いのですが😅 還暦を過ぎてもしっかり働けている事は有り難いです🙏 来年も必ず『ひょうたん御守り』をもらいに来たいと思います‼️

豊臣秀吉のひょうたんとして有名なお寺でこの『ひょうたん御守り』は開運、厄除け、金運等全てに効くと言われ全国から凄い人が来ていました。 ちなみに私も広島県から来ました。 境内は人で動き難かったですが毎年来ている方も多くやはり信用出来ると確信しました。 節分の記念の御朱印や散華も購入する事が出来良かったです。 これで今年1年無事に過ごせます。 この御縁に感謝✴️ ありがとうございます🙏 来年また『ひょうたん御守り』も...
