Full of drunk obnoxious foreigners. They surved me pink chicken and pad see ew that had the texture of glue Updating in response to the owners response. Perhaps you should enforce a quieter dining environment. While I was there there was a group of about 15 super drunk people speaking at an elevated volume and ruining the otherwise quiet vibe of this place. I myself am a foreigner, but know how to conduct myself in a public place. I think it’s common to ask people who are being disrespectful and disruptive to settle down or be asked to leave. By catering to those people you have lost a customer who lives in the area and would have considered returning. Also you earned yourself a 1 star review.

I’ve been to Thailand three times already, and Tom Yum Kung is my all-time favorite dish. I’ve tried it in more than 50 different restaurants, always chasing the best one. Then, here in Kyoto—completely unexpected—I found it at ASAI Hotel. I came back four days in a row just to eat it again and again. It’s unbelievable: I came to Japan planning to enjoy Japanese food, yet I ended up devouring Thai food every single day instead! This Tom Yum Kung is the best I’ve ever had, and every other dish I tried was amazing too. A big note for ASAI Hotel—please keep Chef Ley(Kittitat Hangam) in the kitchen. His cooking is absolutely world-class.

3/22 5pm reservation (we were the first ones there) 2pax Fantastic Food, Service and Atmosphere Food tasted great, especially the pork jowl and coconut ice cream. All food were good and We were surprised at the price because it did not cost a lot. Service of our servers was great, especially Sir Josh. All were very accommodating. They asked us about allergies and restrictions. Offered us great recommendations on the menu also. The atmosphere was good, looks like a new established hotel/resto. Overall it was a great experience, we even thought to check in that same day hahaha.

It’s usually extremely hard to find an authentic and truly great-tasting Thai restaurant in Japan, by Thai standards.

As a huge fan of Thai cuisine, I’ve tried countless Thai restaurants across Japan, but none had impressed me the way the amazing restaurants in Thailand did—until I discovered this hidden gem.

The restaurant is run by the Dusit Group, and since I’ve stayed at their hotels in Thailand and was impressed by them, I had a feeling this place would be special. The staffs were friendly and food was exactly like what I had back in Thailand—it put a big smile on my face. If there’s one thing I would change, it would be for the staff to greet guests with a wai 🙏 to really capture that Thai feeling. But that’s just me being a Thai...

We discovered this restaurant by chance, attracted by the elegant building that also houses a hotel.

The homemade noodles with chicken were perfectly cooked, the meat tender and juicy. The shrimp salad was fresh and well-seasoned, with a nice balance of flavors. Portions are rather small, but the quality makes up for it.

My partner had the vegetarian curry and tofu. The tofu was excellent, while the curry, though good, was somewhat less remarkable compared to the other dishes.

The mango sticky rice for dessert was spot on — just the right sweetness.

Prices are a bit higher due to portion size, but the quality and attention to detail justify it. Overall, a place I would happily recommend...
