Baffling. Save your time and money—not worth the hype.

People waited 60 minutes in line in the summer heat and summer rain, even though they had a 3-person sofa and two empty chairs inside the door that went unused. Would have been nice if they let people wait inside. Once seated, two 4-person tables went unused for 10 minutes with multiple people outside. Not sure why. The staff just did one order at a time. Would have expected more efficient service. They neglected to bring us water. We had to ask for it. They had 4 people working there and they all seemed confused on how to operate. They were nice though. They got my order wrong. I ordered a hamburger with no tomato and it came without tomato, but also without the onions and pickles that it said it came with. If you’re going to be this slow and charge this much, the orders should be made right. The peanut butter shake lacked peanut butter—it was a vanilla shake with peanuts in it. The onion rings shot scalding hot water out of them when you bit into them. Maybe let them cool a little before bringing it to customers. Good punk music at least.

The staff were nice, but it was a very...

So I'm not gonna lie, I think this might be the best burger place I've been to in Japan, as of this writing. These boyos get burgers.

Access: 5/5 They're open remarkably late for a Japanese business, and there's parking across the street you can use.

Food: 5/5 I had their Harry's Burger, which I thought was delicious. The patty was good and juicy, and the sauce ran over in just the right way. I only wish it was bigger.

I also tried their burger fries. I don't remember what the actual menu item is called, but it's basically a plate of fries with the innards of a burger scattered over them. Chunks of patty meat, tomato, lettuce, mayo, the works. It was amazing, and I've thought about driving back out to Matsushima just for this.

Customer Experience: 5/5 The staff are super friendly and seem happy doing what they're doing. I asked for a drink on the menu and it turned out to be sold out; as a make good, they brought me a free bottle of soda! Now that's service. Also, the interior decor has flavor.

Pricing: 4/5 A bit pricy, but that's just the reality of foreign...

The food was okay. The burger is just average burger and nothing special. Onion rings came out over cooked. It was very hard. The fries were decent because it was seasoned with cajun powder. The beef taco is okay. The tortilla is not heated and the coleslaw is cold that it makes the entire taco feel cold. The seasoning is mainly bbq sauce. I wouldn't mind eating there again when I am really craving fries but not a place I will go often. the price seems a bit high for the quality...

As a foreigner, I've had a few burgers in my time. But I can honestly say this was one of the best fried chicken burgers I've ever had. The place is decorated in true American diner style, with plenty of food options. They even have a couple vegetarian options of burgers which was good for my partner. This place was so good, I'd give more than 5 stars if I could. Give Harry's Junction your business!!
