My significant other and I found this place randomly over the New Year break because the other place we planned to eat at was closed. Fortunately for us, Da Bocciano was open, and oh boy, this was amazing. When we entered, the worker at the front told us to head downstairs to be seated. The place seemed to be a little busy, so we had to wait a bit, but that's not an issue. Once we were seated, they let us look over a few menus, and we ended up deciding to try the Campione pizza. They have a huge stone(?) oven on the first floor where they prepare the pizza, and you can really taste the flavor that comes from the chef hand preparing and baking your pizza. It was so good with the correct balance between sauce, toppings, cheese, and bread. They offer a wide arrangement of drinks as well. However, we did not get anything besides water. The staff was overall friendly, we didn't get a chance to chat with them too much but they were attentive to our table throughout out the meal. If you are in the Matsuyama area, definitely check this place out! You...
Read moreI'm Italian and i know what good pizza is. The dough wasn't cooked enough, the mozzarella was a little sour and there was way too much oil on top of it. Moreover, I ordered one of my all time favorite pizzas that is 4 formaggi and the worst thing was there was maybe one cheese in it and ZERO gorgonzola that is the main ingredient!!! I asked the waitress to please go tell the chef and she came back (he didn't dare to show up...) saying that he had put gorgonzola..... Very disappointing!!! Another thing is that the owner put on the wall hundreds of photos of him being in Napoli and he didn't even speak a word of Italian or English!!!!! They didn't even know Italian food words like prosciutto!!Big no no!!!! They should be more authentic and listen to clients' feedback especially...
Read moreBe prepared to wait. We were the first two customers to arrive downstairs, but waited an hour for our pizza. The first group of customers to receive pizza came in 30 minutes after we had already ordered, which ironically was our pizzas. Multiple customers complained after seeing this. Watch your receipts, a beer that wasn't in stock was still on our receipt before the clerk was corrected. The pizza was decent, but other reviews pointing out too much olive oil was on point. As is the case with this problem, the toppings slide right off the slice, a slice we cut with a steak knife. A microwave oven pizza would have given me a funner experience. My...
