5 stars to this place in Nagano because of accessibility, food choice, taste, and experience. The dining spot is located very close to Nagano Station and can be reached within a minute walk. I also recommend this place for those who can't eat ramen heavily as they are only a few of the joints that offer small-size ramen servings in three variants... Soy sauce, salt, and salt and tomato. My wife was never a heavy eater so she had ordered the small-size ramen with soy sauce. Despite the size, she was able to finish it down to the last drop. The stock used is very tasty and the servings are generous and justly priced. I had a black sesame tsukemen and the dipping sauce is excellently made. The noodles are firm and the pork slices are tasty. Had an extra slice for 110 yen, which I consider cheap. The experience is also great because though the place is not that big, the seating is big enough to accommodate you and your things, as well as your food. Oh, and gyoza here has both pork and veggie variants so it's excellent for those who'd prefer to eat one of those...

However, it excels in its execution; of all the ramen I've had in Japan, this restaurant's thick noodles and broth are extremely, extremely good, and I dare say easily win over many of the seemingly more "fancy" or expensive ramen restaurants. It's simply simple but delicious. The service was great as well. The staff are very warm and came to take our gyoza order early because they said it would take a while. We were so happy when we came the first night that we came again the next day for a second round. Can't...
Read moreRamen was delicious. We had the Miso Ramen and Spicy Miso ramen and it was the best Miso Ramen we’ve had on our trip so far! Didn’t wait at all to get seated, in fact, the restaurant was surprisingly empty but we did go at around 4pm.
Was very cheap and great value. You can add extra egg or pork for around ¥120. I typically go for large when offered but this time I didn’t and I was super glad as the regular was extremely filling and large already.
They have iPads on the table to order and the language is available in English as well which is great if you’re not fluent.
If I come back to Nagano I’ll...
