G's Delight — Restaurant in Nagoya

If you're craving bold flavors and island vibes, this Jamaican restaurant in Japan is a hidden gem you shouldn't miss. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with reggae music and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

I tried their jerk chicken, and it was perfectly spiced—smoky, juicy, and full of flavor. The rice and peas were cooked just right, and the plantains added a sweet touch to the plate. They also had Jamaican patties and a delicious homemade ginger beer that completed the meal.

The staff were friendly, and the chef was clearly passionate about authentic Jamaican cooking. Portions were satisfying, and the price was reasonable for the quality.

Found out about this place through a friend not expecting anything special at first since Nagoya isn't known for having many Jamaican experiences. But after meeting G and getting a taste of his authentic cooking I was beyond surprised. I have been there multiple times in less than a week. The best Jamaican food on this side of Japan by far. Everything on the menu is authentic and made with real Jamaican ingredients, couldn't be more pleased.

The food is great. Chef is Japanese who was taught by a Jamaican in Japan. Fish soup, rice and peas, you name it, he got the recipe down pat. On my visit I had a jerk chicken sandwich with fish tea and coconut water. The coconut water wasn't all that but the soup and sandwich, were spot on. It was nice to eat some food from home that I didn't cook. They have a special every last Sunday. I recommend you try it out. Big up 'Conqueror', the chef. It was good...
