Eat at your own risk....lots of Yen for little return! Table charge of Y400 per person compulsory and they give you a small plate of salad to share as a 'thank you'. Would have been nice to have been advised in advance. When the waitress brought the salad, we refused it as we did not order it. She walked away and then brought us an english sign that said it was a complusory table charge. As we had drinks and had ordered food, we couldn't leave. The cocktails are so watered down and the glass is filled to the top with ice, so not much watery drink included. The pineapple juice was out of stock so my son ordered orange, but it was like sweet cordial and not juice at all. The food was okay, but as a group of 6 we ordered our meals individually. For those who ordered two dishes the same, they gave you a share plate with a slightly bigger serving instead of your own meals. Just another way to make more money. They tried to bring us drinks that we didn't order which we refused. When we went to check the bill (you need google translate!) in Japanese, all the drinks we refused were on it. Took 1/2hr to pay and leave as we had to check with every waiter/waitress that we did indeed refuse the drinks and were not paying for them. Personally, it was expensive for what we ate and the drinks (except beer) were terrible and watery. I can see why they have someone trying to get you in on the street. Don't bother, it will just leave you with a bad taste in...
Read moreFor a first time trying Okinawan cuisine, the food was really good and the atmosphere with the live music was great. However, the staff wasn’t friendly at all. In fact, barely spoke to us even though we spoke Japanese to them. Another disappointment was the additional hidden fees you only find out in the end. The fee for the live music is in the English menu, but since you order online you don’t even look at the physical menu, and the appetizer fee is only written in the Japanese menu, but none are disclosed at the time of entering the restaurant. In almost a year living in Japan this was the first time I ever felt scammed...
Read moreFood was ok, service was ok, but it's one of those places that shows you one price but then charges another with an "hidden" fee. In this case, is a small "salad" that automatically comes with every meal yet is not included in the meal price. They're even prepared to pull out a pre-printed sign in multiple language to explain the additional charge should you challenge them. That tells you what kind of business they run. I would not recomend going here on principal alone. There are better and more honest...
