花火 — Restaurant in Naha

The food was ok, that is true. The service was awful; they took a long long time to bring our dishes and forgot some of them. We had to ask for some dishes 4 times. While eating, a flying cockroach came into the restaurant. We told a waiter and he said "so, what can i do?" and that was that.

When we asked for the receipt, there was a "service fee" that wasn't announced in the menu or anywhere else in the restaurant; and in the ticket appeared "Americans" written (I read japanese so I understood what was written in the ticket) so I'm pretty sure they charged us the extra thinking we were americans.

All in all, we spend 2 hours in a crappy restaurant with bad (and possibly racist) service to eat ok food that could have been eaten...

I think this restaurant is new or maybe a renovation of the previous teppanyaki which was previously at this location.

There is a table charge of 300¥. maybe because I didn't order alcohol. with the current promotion of one free Okinawan dish it can still be a good price. tax is calculated separately

Cute little diner just off of Kokusai-dori - they had their menu posted on the street and caught my eye. Certainly didn’t disappoint! I had the fried chicken combo with curly fries and regular fries, and it was so good that I had to go back the next week before I went home just to have it one more time. The first time I went I was the only customer, the second time it was quite busy, but food still came quickly. Service was very friendly, and no problem getting an English menu.
