The evening opened on a curious note, with a musical performance that straddled the line between comic relief and questionable talent. Whether intentional or not, it set a relaxed—if slightly awkward—tone for the dinner to follow.
The appetizer arrived as a composed plate of roast beef, salted mackerel, and baguette. Presentation was clean, but the execution faltered. The baguette leaned stale, its chewiness distracting rather than satisfying. The beef, while nicely cooked, offered little beyond its basic flavor, while the mackerel, though expectedly salty, failed to elevate the pairing. It was a plate that looked more promising than it tasted.
The fish course featured Japanese parrotfish, plated with the same care as the opening dish. Unfortunately, the execution once again fell short of the presentation. The fish was mild—so mild, in fact, that it left almost no impression on the palate. Compounding the issue, it was overcooked, resulting in a firm, chewy texture that dulled what could have been a delicate centerpiece.
The evening’s redemption came with the braised beef and mashed potatoes. Here, at last, was comfort. The beef, though a touch fatty and perhaps questionable in quality, was tender and carried the warmth of a demiglace-style sauce. It was familiar and easy to enjoy, even if not remarkable. The mashed potatoes, however, hinted at pre-packaging—perhaps a box mix or pre-made preparation—undercutting the dish’s potential. Still, compared to the courses before, it was the most satisfying offering of the night.
In sum, the meal was a study in contrasts: consistent presentation paired with inconsistent execution. While there were flashes of comfort and competence, much of the evening’s fare felt like a performance—pleasant to look at, yet leaving one to wonder whether the shortcomings were intentional flourishes or simply missed notes.

Read moreFrom business to business, there are some problems with refunding that I see as unfair in terms of customer service. We had scheduled for a reservation for a sunset cruise, and the day of the reservation it started to rain. My wife and I of course did not expect the weather to change so quickly coming up to our reservation so we had called asking them if they could cancel. Of course it wouldn’t be the sunset cruise they would be giving us since the rain would ruin the experience. They had explained that since they made the food already that they could not refund the money. I feel as though they do not care about the customers need because why would you provide a sunset dinner in the storm, and then tell them you won’t give them their money back. I also want to add why is the food being made hours before the reservation that would leave me to believe that it is not fresh. When all is said and done this is very disappointing, and I will make a dispute about it. No business should have these type of...

The boat was overloaded so that we needed to split into two groups to view the corals. Many foreigners and children were there. The noise from the crowd did not allow us to hear on-boat...
