Chef has studied far and wide; ask him about where he's been. About a 3-minute walk from Nara Deer Park; for lunch (5000 yen) you'll want to call ahead and make reservations probably the same for dinner.

We had a lunch for our wedding anniversary. Very good and warm atmosphere, great chefs, and great foods. Non alcohol wine and bloody grape fruit juice. (We had this kind of bloody grape fruit juice in Rome for our honeymoon.) That was great lunch for us. We would like to have more volume for pasta. We really enjoyed.

We enjoyed a delicious tasting menu. Each dish was perfectly prepared and on par with the best meals we've had while traveling in Italy. The service was thoughtful and gracious.
