I was able to spend the most wonderful time feeling the essence of old, traditional Japan!
While located right next to the famous Nara Park, it was a quiet residential area. It was easy to park the car, and the transportation access was also convenient.
Upon opening the door, it was like entering another world. Although an old traditional house with hanging scrolls, a courtyard, an engawa (a wooden corridor), and tatami mats, it had a luxurious and elegant decor. With relaxing spaces like a tatami sauna, a stone bath, and a wooden hot air bath, I lost track of time being completely immersed.
And yet, it was also well-equipped with an independent counter kitchen, various living amenities, a Nintendo Switch, and a total of 8 double beds spread across 4 rooms – perfect for a comfortable long-term stay. Every aspect was truly top-notch.

Read moreThis Villa was a great choice. A beautifully presented house with great facilities. Kids had a great time particularly with the Nintendo and the spa (onsen). The garden was beautiful, both day and night. We were provided with some local drinks and snacks which was an unexpected addition. Great tasting local sake and soda pops. Main bathroom was exceptional. The cold plunge, onsen and sauna were used throughout the stay. Laundry facility was a welcome addition at the end of a long trip. You need to pay attention to Opening and closing hours and make booking. Hard to figure out timing of the restaurants resulting in walking aimlessly trying to find food. Overall...

The house has a beautiful view of the garden from inside, which made the atmosphere even more peaceful. We also appreciated the high-quality Japanese-brand hairdryer, as well as the nice shampoo, conditioner, and makeup cleanser provided – such thoughtful touches!

The beds were very comfortable, and the whole place felt cozy and well-cared for. We truly enjoyed everything about this accommodation and would definitely choose it again for future...
