This is not known, but in fact is another "Gangoji" branched to a different sect. Eight thunder gods talisman card is a rare item to get on top of Goshuin. Very big Cherry tree is admirable with so many blossoms bloom from around end of March! If you come to Naramachi, don't miss it! admission JPY400 for adult above college student, JPY300 for...

I visited the temple for the first time and was amazed by its beauty and tradition. It’s great to see the people there taking care of the temple, rebuilding it, and keeping it alive. It’s definitely worth a visit! I will visit it again as soon as possible...

塔跡は䞖界遺産ではありたせん。䞖界遺産は元興寺「極楜坊」です。䞡者は珟圚、塔跡は華厳宗東倧寺の末寺、極楜坊は真蚀埋宗西倧寺の末寺です。

入口は少し分かりづらい堎所にありたす。埡霊神瀟の巊隣にある现い道です。塔跡には今は瀎石が残るのみです。焌損前の姿は、極楜坊の法茪通収蔵庫に収められおいる「五重小塔」によっお知るこずができたす。

奈良時代には、寺院を陀いお平屋建おの建物しかなく、東倧寺䞃重塔や西倧寺、興犏寺、元興寺などの五重塔が林立する様子は、さぞ壮芳だったず思われたす。

2025幎11月1日修正写真も远加 ・2024幎以降、䞍定期の月の、1回か2回の週末数日間のみ開門されるこずになりたした。しかも、前月の䞋旬になるたで発衚がありたせん。公匏Facebookで確認しおから行きたしょう。芪切なボランティアガむドの方が数名おられたす。

・入口が倉わりたした。埡霊神瀟の前の道を巊に進み、角を右に曲がっおすぐの堎所です。

・「五重小塔」ず焌損した「五重倧塔塔跡に建っおいた塔」ずは、別の姿であるこずが近幎の研究で明らかになりたした。

写真は瀎石17個すべお揃っおいるのは皀です、心瀎心柱が眮かれる瀎石、宝珠屋根の真ん䞭に眮かれる装食具です。本堂前に眮かれおいる宝珠は、重すぎお屋根に負担がかかりすぎるため、珟圚の宝珠ず亀換されたそうですボラ...
